Air Tightness - An Overview
Air Tightness is the relationship between the exchange of inside air
in a dwelling, being replaced at a standardized rate of exchange, with
fresh out-side air measured in cubic feet per minute (CFM). Although
Building Air Leakage is a relatively new performance issue, it is becoming
increasingly important for many within the construction industry.
The stipulation of maximum permissible leakage rates for buildings
within Part L (Conservation of Fuel and Power) of the Building Regulations
2006 and the publication of the ATTMA’s TS1, which supersedes
the TM23 standard has moved leakage into mainstream construction.

fans systems, we can offer Air Pressure Testing to all building types,
including houses, in accordance with CIBSE TM 23 and the ATTMA Technical
Standard TS1.
